The Pleasure of the Bath
Sink into Stillness
Sink into Stillness
To be in the bath is to return to something ancient and amniotic. A quiet dissolving of boundaries between body and element.
The water holds you the way the world once did, before names and noise, before the day began its demands.
Warmth against skin.
The rhythmic sound of water lapping at the sides.
The scent of oils swirling through the steam.
Muscles loosen their arguments. Thoughts begin to drift.
In that suspension, you are entirely yourself and you are entirely gone.
Weightless, restored, and momentarily free from the need to be anything at all.
