Cultivated across the Mediterranean and Middle East for thousands of years, figs were prized in Ancient Egypt, Greece and Rome as symbols of fertility, pleasure and abundance. Lush, creamy and sun-drenched. The scent of ripened fruit, warm skin and late summer afternoons.

A green resin extracted from flowering plants native to Iran and Central Asia, used in ancient incense and medicinal preparations. Sharp, green and untamed. The scent of crushed stems, morning dew and wild growth beneath your feet.

Derived from the leaves of the violet plant, which became highly fashionable in European perfumery during the 19th century. Cool, metallic and vegetal. The scent of torn leaves, green shade and rain on stone.

A lightweight emollient rich in oleic and linoleic fatty acids, helping to soften, condition and smooth the skin. Almonds have been cultivated across the Mediterranean and Western Asia for thousands of years, with almond oil long used in traditional preparations for the skin and body.

JOJOBA SEED OIL (SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS)

Technically a liquid wax rather than an oil, jojoba is rich in wax esters that help condition the skin and support its natural barrier while leaving it soft and supple. The jojoba plant is native to the deserts of the southwestern United States and northern Mexico, where Indigenous peoples traditionally used its seeds and oil.

AVOCADO OIL (PERSEA AMERICANA)

A rich emollient oil containing oleic acid and other fatty acids that help nourish, soften and condition the skin. Avocados have an extraordinarily long relationship with humans in the Americas, with archaeological evidence from Honduras showing human use stretching back around 11,000 years and a long process of cultivation and selection.

MACADAMIA SEED OIL (MACADAMIA INTEGRIFOLIA)

A silky emollient oil rich in monounsaturated fatty acids, including oleic and palmitoleic acids, helping to soften and condition the skin while providing a smooth, cushioned feel. Macadamia trees are native to the rainforests of eastern Australia, where their nuts have been gathered and eaten by Aboriginal peoples for generations.

VITAMIN E (TOCOPHEROL)

A naturally occurring antioxidant that helps support skin resilience and protect against environmental stress. The name tocopherol comes from the Greek words tokos and pherein, meaning “to bring forth offspring.”

IS THIS A GLOW OIL?

No. 39BC PERFUMED DRY BODY OIL is not a shimmer or high-shine glow oil.

SHOULD I APPLY BODY OIL TO DAMP OR DRY SKIN?

Both, but the experience is different.

On dry skin, PERFUMED DRY BODY OIL leaves a luminous, soft silk finish.
